Interviews with the Cast and Crew of Bloodshot Sony had a Valiant Comics character its hoping to hit box office gold with.

Superhero comics are a dime a dozen these days. There aren’t many angles that haven’t already been fully explored and exhausted. Sony is hoping audiences are willing to break from DC and Marvel to follow this Valiant Comics character. Valiant founder Jim Shooter was a former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics himself.

Director David S.F. Wilson enlists Vin Diesel powered by a Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer-helmed screeenplay. Here’s a breakdown of the plot from Sony:

After he and his wife are suddenly assassinated, Marine Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) is reborn by a team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he struggles to recall anything from his previous years. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally felt.
