Hi Janel,


The below is one of the emails I provided to Rhonda where I gave detailed statistics relating to my What goals and lived the Bank of America values by attempting to work with her for a resolution. I believe the manager reviews of the PDP’s should be done by now, so I’d like you to let me know if my PDP rankings match the statistics I was able to provide below, (including the sources, and my computer at work has all of the detailed information as to where I obtained this).


Whether or not my PDP matches the detailed statistics I provided below, I would like an explanation (as also requested from my manager below) as to what specific statistics were used to determine my ranking. I will forward you a few more emails that I have on me.


Can you please let me know if it is in any way inappropriate for me to access the VPN network utilizing my NBK on a My Work associate’s laptop to forward you any emails I have there? I didn’t send anything to my home email address that contained any proprietary or NPPI information, so what I can access from home is only general enough to provide an outline of the events that transpired during my tenure in that department. I never had any intention of having to sever ties with the company I dedicated the last 5 years of my life to, so I want to ensure I follow every step the company recommends exactly as communicated to me. I truly want you to know that I am still a dedicated employee who needed a way out of a very bad position I can prove existed.


I would also like to confirm with you once again your statement that I will continue being paid through 1/5/11 with no further interaction needed from me, and that you will inform me of my rehire eligibility. I appreciate all of the advice and assistance you have provided!

Hi Rhonda,


You have recently expressed concerns on multiple occasions (both to me and to several members of your staff) about how long it is taking me to complete my tasks.


I have gathered information from the associate/managers performing my job duties in my absence via email and MOC and compared the results to historical Production logs and ABC reporting (they are very similar). I then took this information and compared it to the averages I have been reporting to you consistently since beginning this position. The below chart shows how long it should take to perform each task (except Illogical Conditions) based on this information.


Each of these tasks is taking approximately the same amount of time for me as it was taking the previous associate of the same level, with the exception of SS Tracking, which takes me an average of 1.25 hrs per day compared to 2.00 hrs from members of Peggy’s management staff. The below chart for Illogical Conditions imports is based on the volume of imported reports multiplied by .107142857 hours per report (again based on ABC Reporting, Production Logs, and input from Scott Willeford/Brian Fierros about how long they felt it took them:

Please keep in mind that I have at no point been given any kind of ramp up period, awards, etc that associates with a similar job title would have been given. I am also working in systems I have never used before (CCS TSO), or haven’t used in 1-2 years (CCS, Access, Passport, SQL) based on my job duties during that timeframe. Also, in many cases (Special Services Offshore reporting 11/22-11/26, SS reporting 12/13-12/14, RCBAP import 12/13), my job duties were not performed in my absence, despite me providing detailed instructions on how to complete them, providing training (initial & recursive) to the responsible parties, and sending out several reminders. Despite these obstacles, I have consistently succeeded in providing accurate and timely results.

I would be more than happy to research how long it has historically taken a single associate to review and correct a single P&P so that you can accurately track that as well if you would like, although there must be an issue with the way I’m interpreting the production logs, ABC reports, etc. The results match each other regardless of source. They also either match what I’ve been doing/reporting, or I am performing the tasks much quicker than my predecessors/replacements. I’m unable to see where it is you drew your conclusion. Do the statistics you gathered not match with the statistics I found utilizing the tools available to me as an associate? Can you send me a copy of these statistics and walk me through how to correctly analyze them so I understand where it is that I’m falling short of expectations?


I do not mean to sound in any way confrontational, but I find it a little unsettling that I have not only been excluded from the monthly and quarterly departmental Pay for Performance plan since August, but I am told I am not performing my duties quickly enough without being given any specifics, which is leading me to fear that my annual PDP results (and Pay for Performance because of it) will reflect this erroneous belief as well. I do not wish to be negatively impacted any further without understanding where it is coming from.


I am quite interested in learning what supporting evidence led you to the conclusion that I am not meeting any expectations in my delivery of results as I have thus far not been provided with any specifics in my coaching, which as I understand, you require your management staff to give to other associates with similar job titles.


We can discuss tomorrow during my review, or in a separate meeting at another time if you would prefer. I have marked my OH sheet with the time it took for me to gather and analyze these numbers along with drafting this email. Please let me know if you need anything else.
