Roderick Martin and UFOlogy on Clubhouse

STORM AREA 51!!!

That’s more or less the premise of UFOlogy: Countdown to Disclosure “Aliens Have Visited Earth, the lengthy title of the pilot show from Creator First pilot season finalist Roderick Martin.

Martin is the founder of Clubhouse’s Extraterrestrial Evidence club, along with the Extraterrestrial Evidence YouTube channel and podcast. This makes him a multi-channel creator and digital storyteller like myself who can craft omnichannel content.

Integrating Clubhouse into his podcast gives Martin the opportunity to harvest “callers” to make it more interactive. The difference between a podcast and radio is that you can interact with the radio DJs. And that’s what Clubhouse is – the bridge between podcast and terrestrial radio.

Dr. Drew has long been using Clubhouse, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter to livestream his show. It takes some effort (try Clubdeck for more power) but many talented podcasters figured out how to integrate the platforms and multicast, simulcast, or whatevercast.

ClubPod and Podcast Magazine are great resources for getting your podcast set up. They’ve been grinding a long time and know a lot of equipment (along with Clubhouse).

As for aliens, we’re going to have to check Martin’s knowledge. With a brilliant astrophysicist like Andy Howell on Clubhouseteaching me the actual science behind time travel, wormholes, lightsabers, and everything in between, you’ll have to try hard to impress me.

Let’s run the reel to determine if UFOlogy is telling the truth or another Psychedelics + Addiction that proves why professionals should be in charge.

Anal probing for answers

There’s obviously life outside our world – there are an estimated 8.7 million species on Earth alone, and it would be ridiculous to think we’re the only planet in this infinite universe with life. And Stephen Hawking notably pointed out why it’s a bad idea to send random signals into space.

In human history, any time a more advanced society met a less advanced society, the lesser society was conquered. By that logic, an alien society that finds us before we find them is likely more technologically advanced. Our most advanced nuclear weaponry could bounce off them like spears on metal armor.

We truly could have been visited by aliens, and living in Arizona, I’m familiar with the story of Fire in the Sky. And Travis Walton’s alien abduction story is a great way to understand the difference between a scientific expert and someone untrained. It’s not that Walton means to exaggerate – he’s just so tired of people calling him a liar.

When Joe Rogen gives him a platform to speak on it on JRE, he mixes fact and fiction because of the way our memories work. But since he did experience something unexplainable, it feeds into the conspiracies. Having worked with the hacktivist group Anonymous and as a whistleblower and activist, I’ve met all kinds.

My own story had some people thinking I enjoy conspiracy theories, which I do not. I only enjoy facts and truths, and I find a lot of this entertaining but on the level of astrology and tarot cards. There’s some ways to make it seem real, but it’s probably not what you thought it was.

Fallacy of Perspective

You should never trust your own memory – the reason this blog hits so hard is that I’m documenting people’s words. So long as I do it fast enough and we all agree I got it right, it essentially cements the moment in history. You’re no longer relying on your unreliable memory – you’re relying on the events documented on this blog.

Without these reviews, there would be no way to look back on these Creator First pilots, and they would eventually fade away in our memories. That’s why I constantly say Clubhouse Townhalls should be pre-recorded and broadcast on YouTube to fix a LOT of the problems with onboarding and keeping users.

On-demand access to our shared history could easily be provided. The best thing about the modern internet is that for the first time in human history, our voices and history and memories can’t be erased when we’re conquered.

We’ll never know what happened in most ancient civilizations. It’s because people burned each other’s history. A lot of people are so scared of sharing their history in the first place because they don’t want to be judged. You probably hate reporters because of fake news.

Rick & Morty has a great episode where the duo is working on a song called “Get Shwifty” to save the world. While that’s happening, a whole other side plot is occuring where completely uninvolved people are forming a potato cult because they believe another guy’s perspective.

Neither perspective is necessarily wrong, but one is actually the right answer. And that’s what’s happening with these tinfoil wrapped potatoes.

For all we know, the pyramids were built by alien technology. I’m positive there’s extraterrestrial life in the universe, even though I never saw it. But I still take a fact-based approach to the topics.

While I appreciate the effort from this crew, it’s simply not for me.

Final Thoughts on UFOlogy

UFOlogy brings a group of “experts” to discuss the topic of alien life. If I were to create a room on this topic, I would recruit Andy Howell from Science vs Cinema. He’s a brilliant astrophysicist I’ve been lucky enough to hear explain so much on the topic. He was the scientific advisor for a lot of science fiction movies.

That means Howell can break down for you in intricate detail the differences in how every major Hollywood movie, TV show, or book portrays science in their realms. Whether it’s The Force, lightsabers, time travel, warp speed, aliens, alternate dimensions, or Gremlins, there’s a good chance Howell has an amazingly insightful answer that will drop your jaw.

On top of that, Howell is always smiling when he speaks.

I don’t mean to make this entire thing about Howell, but seriously, I’ve even seen him outsmart other space scientists with his level of knowledge. If you really want to understand something, always ask a scientist.

Martin and his crew are entertaining, but it’s all just too tinfoil for me. Howell’s expertise is astrophysics, while Martin specializes in crop circles. If you don’t understand the comparison, we may need to back this up to dicuss the flat earth.

Final Grade: B-
