Should I move to Colorado for cannabis?

Legally, the fight to make money in the Colorado cannabis industry has financial obstacles you’ll never overcome. However, the bold can make money illegally, so long as you’re smart about it.

Find someone looking for a decent hookup in another state that can afford bulk orders. There’s always someone. In Oregon, for example, the laws don’t dictate where a dispensary can get their product from, which leaves an open market in which high-quality buds are sought after.

Outdoor product is trimmed to look like indoor-grown, and whatever doesn’t sell to dispensaries is driven down to California to be sold there. Whatever doesn’t sell is taken to Nevada and Arizona.

Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, and Arizona all have underground black markets for cannabis, and whatever need isn’t being served by medical patients making extra money is being served by the cartels and local gangs.

Since you’ll have a Colorado license plate, you’ll raise suspicion in neighboring states if you were to drive the product yourself. Also when you’re transporting product, it’s on you, so it’s harder to mount a legal defense.

However, the most widely used residential consumer P2P shipping method is still the U.S. Postal Service, so if you were to find a friend you can ship product to out of state, it doesn’t matter if the shipment is taken in transit, because neither of you had physical possession. Both parties just deny it.

Any type of drug can be found online, and you can even market on Craigslist for short timeframes. Get payment up front (even if it’s a friend) and buy a vacuum sealer. Vacuum seal an ounce to a pound, wrap it, and mail it.

On the outside of the box, write something along the lines of, “Here’s some of that tea I know you love, Grandma! <3”

The odds of the other party claiming they didn’t receive a shipment are greater than you getting caught for dealing. It’s up to you to manage the associated risks. Track packages and run it like a real business.

Also, on the grow side, profit is calculated in commercial grow houses by watt per square foot. The cheaper you can push the most light into that room, the better your results will be.

Be sure to change nutrients throughout growth cycles to maximize output.

Hope this helps, and good luck.
